There are special events just about every month at the Eco Station. In March there is a children's art festival. Children are invited to create artwork, compete for awards for the most innovative pieces and enjoy individual and group projects on display. In April, the public is invited to Children's Earth Day with live performances, celebrity guests, crafts, food, games and more.
I had the opportunity to tour the facility with my family and was overwhelmed by the good work that the Bozzi family is doing to both rehabilitate and house animals and also convey the message of conservation and environmental awareness and protection.
Madison and Logan loved visiting the animals, especially the reptiles and the birds. The staff is knowledgeable and the guides work wonderfully with small children. The facility is decorated beautifully and I could not believe just how many animals they were able to house. It is clean, and you can tell how much the staff loves and appreciates the animals. Even better, they go beyond simply housing animals but also convey the message of personal responsibility to the environment in a friendly, positive and empowering way. Logan could have spent hours playing with the cockatoo that one of the co-owners took out for us to touch. Madison really liked all of the turtles and snakes and lizards that were taken out of their habitats in order for us to pet. I can't wait to go back and go on another tour!
