LA Zoo Lights

This is a magical holiday light event with high impact sets and design to celebrate the season. Stroll through the zoo to see glowing light animals and real reindeer and purchase holiday treats. New this year: a beautiful, ocean themed water fountain show.

Winter Sawdust Festival

Visit booths to view and purchase handmade crafts, jewelry and art. For kids, there are art projects, a real snow play field, live holiday entertainment, daily visits with Santa.

Free Family Night

Enjoy the museum exhibits and hands-on fun including creating solstice lanterns, building bird feeders, and listening to Star stories.

Hot Wheels Garage

Race cars on hot wheels tracks, see life size hot wheels, take a picture with Santa and donate an unwrapped toy. There will also be sundaes for purchase.

Santa and the Jolly Trolley

Take a special trolley ride with Mrs. Claus with holiday music and fun. The ride ends at the Paley Center for Media and the celebration continues with a holiday movie screening and photo with Santa.

Let's Make a Comet

Enjoy a 25-minute demonstration program that mixes common household ingredients with dry ice to make a small comet that is similar to the real thing. The program explores the nature of water in all its forms and discusses why water is so important to life on Earth.
