Pinata breaking, children’s workshops, face painting, strolling Mariachi bands and Aztec dancing. Enjoy colorful, ancient Mexican ceremonies in honor of departed loved ones with beautifully decorated altars, entertainment and Novenaria processions.

Holiday in the Park

A joyful evening of in-store events, street caroling, gifts and prizes. Enjoy community entertainment, photos with Santa, roving choirs, musicians, food trucks, tons of fun for kids and lip-smacking treats for everyone.

LA Zoo Lights

This is a fun holiday light event with high impact sets and design to celebrate the season. Stroll through the zoo to see glowing light animals and real reindeer and purchase holiday treats. There are also select dates to visit with Santa.

Winter Sawdust Festival

Visit booths to view and purchase handmade crafts, jewelry and art. For kids, there are art projects, a real snow play field, live holiday entertainment and daily visits with Santa.

Nov. 18th-19th

Pasadena Model Railroad Club Open House

View the Sierra Pacific Lines, one of the largest HO scale-operating model railroads in the world covering almost 5,000 square feet. Trains displayed include: steam, diesel, modern freight, old freight, classic passenger trains and Amtrak. Detailed scenery and theatrical lighting add to the fun experience.

Nov. 18th-19th

Tidepool Walk

Join aquarium educators to tour the Point Fermin tidepools. Attend an informative slide show in the John M. Olguin Auditorium, then come along on the naturalist-led stroll on the rocks to see animals in their natural habitat.

Dream Catcher Workshop

Printing with Plants

Enjoy the exhibit by LA-based artist Fran Siegel: Lineage Through Landscape. Families can then create solar-powered prints using plants, and explore paper weaving techniques.

The Ugly Duckling

A new, playful take on an old tale with signing, dancing and a cute cast of characters. A fun, interactive experience for ages 3-10.

Nature Walk

Led by trained naturalists, this walk is family-oriented. Walks are on dirt trails with easy to moderate difficulty.

Family Tour

Learn about our area's native plants and how to grow them! Visit the Dirt Doctor’s laboratory to learn about the uses for mulch, tour the urban watershed garden for a live demo of how rainwater flows in our city  around the our park. You can also plant a native tree seed to take home.
